Producers planning to hire Québec personnel must register with and pay premiums to the Commission de la santé et de la sécurité du travail du Québec, the Québec government agency responsible for health and safety in the workplace.

CSST, in collaboration with members of the industry, have agreed upon safety rules for the Québec film & video industry. Their joint effort resulted in the publication of Safety Rules for the Québec Film & Video Industry. Producers must ensure that an on-set copy of the publication is available at all times.
