PProducers planning to hire Québec personnel must register with and pay premiums to the Commission de la santé et de la sécurité du travail (CSST ) du Québec, the Québec government agency responsible for health and safety in the workplace.

The CSST , in collaboration with members of the industry, have agreed upon safety rules for the Québec film & video industry. Their joint effort resulted in the publication of Safety Rules for the Québec Film & Video Industry. Producers must ensure that an on-set copy of the publication is available at all times.
